The Two Faced Twins
For my university documentary project, in my first year (2018), we were given the task of making a documentary, in groups, about a local subject; people, place or historical event. My group had reached out to some local artists, the Two Faced Twins, to make a documentary about them. I was the cinematographer and editor.
I am pleased with how the final product turned out. The wide shot of the twins was not perfectly symmetrical in the frame, colour balance was off, some of the B-roll that was shot was less than perfect but I think it ticks a lot of the boxes for a decent short documentary. We only had a few hours to film and a second day for an hour when the twins where having a party celebrating the launch of a new line of art.
The editing was the highlight of the project as I learnt a lot about timing and using the interview to guide the edits, visuals and music.
